Founded by a group of infosec enthusiasts in 2011, Edgis is a special interest group aimed to provide a platform where infosec enthusiasts can meet like-minded people, explore and learn with fellow peers, and contribute to the community. We do so by encouraging open source contributions and collaborations, and organising various sorts of events and initiatives.
Edgis + Null Singapore Partnership
Edgis is a close partner and friend of Null Singapore – a open security community – in promoting a vibrant infosec community in Singapore. Whilst Edgis focuses mainly on tech research and exploration and outreach programmes, we embraces the infosec community development effort by Null Singapore.
Edgis has, thus, forged a strong partnership with Null Singapore in promoting and organising infosec community events e.g. Monthly Meets, and Humla and Bachav workshops, etc.
Edgis’s events can be broadly classified into 2 categories: General Infosec Events, and Cyber Security Awareness Events.
Infosec Events – Such events are organised as part of Edgis’s mission to promote a vibrant infosec community in Singapore. Events of such nature include talks and workshops on infosec topics. Edgis mainly partners with Null Singapore in organising and supporting of such events and activities.
Cyber Security Awareness Events – Edgis organises and supports numerous events, activities and initiatives as part of its mission to promote a safer cyberspace. Events under this category aim to promote and enhance cyber security awareness and adoption of essential cyber security practices among infocomm users.
